Liverpool has plenty to offer, including a great nightlife atmosphere and local attractions so you will never be stuck for something to do. The Cavern, which is where The Beatles did many of their early performances, and The Everyman Playhouse Theatre are must-see musical attractions! There are thousands of students in the area due to the 3 main universities in the city, so if you’re looking to rent out a property then you will always get a lot of interest!

4 – Preston
A recent survey found that Preston is one of the happiest places to live in not only the North West, but the whole of the UK! Perhaps this is because of its wide range of shops or generally friendly citizens. You can visit the Harris Museum, Winckley Square or Deepdale Stadium, just to name a few places! If you are looking to buy a home for a reasonable price but still want the amazing city experience then Preston is the perfect choice.

3 – Carlisle
Carlisle was voted the happiest city in Britain in 2011, so why wouldn’t you want to buy a property here? It has everything that you could possibly require from a city, including shops, restaurants and historical buildings like Carlisle Castle, Guildhall Museum and Carlisle Cathedral. The Sands Centre is also one of the best local attractions and has had a range of artists perform there, including the likes of Alan Carr, Noel Fielding and Alan Davies!

2 – Lancaster
Lancaster is home to the best University in the North West of England, so it’s no wonder that it’s such a popular area to live. There are many things to see and do in this area, like visiting Williamson Park, Lancaster Cathedral and the Grand Theatre, so whether you’re looking to entertain or spend an evening on the town, you will have plenty of choices for what to do.
