For students, looking the part is very important. After all, you don’t want to roam around a campus looking like a scally, or something below your best. It would be wrong to say that people would judge you on your style, but your clothes can certainly tell your fellow students a lot about the way you carry yourself, whether it be high-maintenance with designer labels or being laid-back with an emphasis on comfort.

The Student Review is looking to see what clothes the students of today are rockin’, and for this edition we speak to Hannah Louise, who has plenty of cool styles in her wardrobe!

“I have a lot of different styles and varieties in my wardrobe. I choose what I think looks nice rather than prioritising brand labels, although there are certain designer names which do pop up across my clothes!

H&M top

“Starting at the top, I definitely buy what I like rather than putting the brand first. I like wearing short-sleeve or sleeveless tops during the summer, which H&M has a good range for, and more traditional tops for the rest of the year. I should mention that I only wear dresses when I’m going out with friends, with my wardrobe having a few that boast a slightly flared style and finish up around the knee.

Superdry hoodie

“In terms of my coats, hmm … well, I like to wear hoodies to look casual; Superdry have some pretty good options for hoodies. But I also like wearing more traditional coats; I have one from M&S which looks nice, and a smaller jacket which I got from Espirit.

Primark necklace

“To go with the shirts and coats, I like to wear bright flowery scarves, which also make my jackets stand out more. I like a good necklace too; Primark and Dorothy Perkins have a nice range for these. I complete the top half by making sure that I have a smart handbag with me!

New Look leggings

“Moving down, I wear leggings a lot as they’re dead comfy, especially ones from New Look, or if I’m going out and I’m not wearing a dress, I’ll throw on some skinny jeans, which I got from Forever 21. They have plenty of options, and in different colours too.

Boux Avenue bra & knickers

“Below my clothes, I have various different underwear sets, with bras and matching knickers or boxer-style pants if it’s a bit cooler. I usually pick these up from M&S and Boux Avenue, and sometimes I’ll pay a visit to Victoria’s Secret too. Sometimes I’ll sleep in them, but usually I’ll throw on my pj’s. I have a really cool set from Primark which have a Minions design to them; I like my character pj’s!

Nike trainers

“Finishing off with my footwear, I have all sorts: regular shoes, sandals, boots, Converse and trainers, and even ballet pumps too! I don’t go for particular brands with my footwear, although I usually opt for Nike when it comes to trainers. And as for my socks, if I’m off work I’ll wear ones which have colourful designs or patterns on them, but in work it’s always got to be black socks, which reflect the coloured heels on my work shoes.

“So, that’s my Style Profile. As you can see, I have a lot of variety!”
