Abort, Retry, Fail? 1-8: Be more careful

I can’t decide whether or not I like that shading style. I’ll make up my mind at some point. Also, Sep, Fran and Amy return to the fold in glorious fashion. I felt it was time to include them again. I’m not sure about Nathan, but if someone ripped one of my comic books – if I ever own any, which I intend to – I would probably commit murder. Yes, I am that geeky. more

Nathan finally re-appears! Woo-hoo! The real-life version has been threatening harm on me if he didn’t come back into the series soon, so I slipped him in there. Also, this comic took far too long to draw. Apparently it takes only the slightest bit of heat before I stop being able to draw and lose all motor skills. Never again! more

The shading has returned. I plan to have a play around with styles of shading, because I don’t exactly like it in this one, but I was close to missing the deadline and I don’t want the TSR Death Squads hunting me down. As a side note, if you haven’t watched it, definitely catch The Walking Dead TV series. If I were you, I’d watch both seasons. It started out well, but in the second series it really hit a higher level and improved greatly. If you’re looking for a zombie-orientated show, definitely look for this one. more

Abort, Retry, Fail? 1-5: Breaking and entering

My oath is broken: I failed to post last week. Woe betide me; I think I’ve been targeted by the TSR Rapid Response Death Squad for Missed Submissions. Luckily, I know some dirt on the people behind this organisation, so they can’t afford to try to have me eliminated. My life stays secure for now! Two things: Dark Knight Rises was awesome and I recommend everyone go see it, and Saints Row: The Third is possibly the craziest game I have ever played. Ever. Any game where you can beat a giant to death with a big floppy dildo-bat while wearing a gimp-suit and giant rabbit head deserves to be played by all. more

Abort, Retry, Fail? Intermission: Gee whiz

Suffice to say, I’m very much geared up for The Dark Knight Rises next week. Should be awesome! I would like to point out that I am not adverse to Robin myself, and I think that if Nolan were to include him in a movie it would be awesome. But not that kid who plays Joffrey. I hate that kid. more

New panel layout and speech bubbles! Although I needed to resize into a much larger image. This means that you can see all the little errors I made with the colouring and all that, but I’m far too lazy to change that now, so I’ll just have to do better next time. I hope everyone approves of the changes. more

Fran makes a reappearance here, but I am aware two members of the cast still have been omitted since the start of the story. I shall rectify that soon. Apologies for the small text, but it was the only way to fit all of it in! I’m going to have to find a new way of doing these comics. Bigger panels, maybe, stretched into rows rather than the three-by-two grid I have here. more

I apologise to my friend Sam, who had to take the hit and be the guest character in this comic. I hope I did him well enough not to get joked at, but something tells me that’s going to happen anyway. Aside from which, the promise to do consistent comics has held true, and the story continues! I’m not sure if power of deniability is actually a legal term, but I wish it was. more

This comic is actually true: I did have exams, hence I missed a fair few slots. Not that anyone’s bothered – except maybe the editors, but who counts them? – but I do have a legitimate reason. I’m going to try my best to fit to a regular schedule now, touch wood, seeing as I’m staying at home over the summer with no job or university to keep me busy. We’ll see if I actually bother to live up to that promise. Also, remember to check out my I Am Error article this week on Dragon’s Dogma. I would have drawn a comic about it, but after failing to draw a dragon for the dozenth time I just gave up. more

Abort, Retry, Fail? Reboot

Yes, I’m rebooting ARF? - I couldn’t come up with jokey strips every week. I’m still going to make it funny (obviously this one is just introducing everything so it won’t be hilarious yet) but I’m going to make it a bit more plot-orientated. When I can I will add in one-shot comics, but don’t expect them so often. Hopefully everyone featured here likes their portrayal. If not, they’ll just have to deal with it; I won’t be changing it for a while. This one took far too long to draw, so I won’t be doing a 12-panel comic ever again. I only did it to make up for my long absence. It had better be appreciated! more
