Singles for summer

I’ve been trying to listen to a lot of radio this summer – and by summer, I mean the last 3 to 4 months – to pick up some new awesome tunes that encompass the gorgeous feeling of this lovely summer weather we’re having (most of the time), and are just feel good songs. I’ve picked 4 singles, which have come out fairly recently, and, in my opinion, tick all the boxes for a wicked summer track. Top Tunes of 2010

In my opinion, 2010 wasn’t a bad year for music, but there were only a few singles that really caught my attention. After wondering why that might be I came to the conclusion that everything is just so geared towards the mainstream. OK I agree that there are a lot of different genres out there, but the stuff in the charts seems to be a lot of merging together of these genres to create something that may be good and crowd pleasing, but not great and original.
